I paste this into the command line every time I do a clean MOSS 2007 install and am working on the box.

@set PATH=C:Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN;%PATH% |
So that in the future, I can access STSADM much easier.
Update:
If you are using SharePoint 2013 you’ll want the updated path (12 changes to 15).

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\BIN |
In 2013 you also have other options, like adding this powershell module, after which you can start using ‘stsadm’ in PS.
