I’m at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2008 right now, at the Bill Gates keynote speech.
Two important things have been announced this morning:
1) SharePoint Search Server Express 2008 is now officially available for public download.

2) SharePoint Online is becoming available to a much larger audience for managed SharePoint hosting from Microsoft.
